How do I apply the Vinyl Art I just bought?
You will not be able to reposition the vinyl after removing the backing paper, so plan carefully where you are going to put your graphic before doing so.
Peel the vinyl decals off of the backing paper. Then place it on your wall in the position you want it to be and rub firmly over vinyl.
Gently peel the transfer tape off of the top of the vinyl stickers and this leaves only the beautiful vinyl designed stickers on your surface. If you have newly painted walls, you must wait at least 2 weeks for the paint to completely dry.
Just peel it off if you want to remove it. Take care not to damage paintwork when removing vinyl from painted walls – you may find it easier to use a hairdryer which softens the adhesive.
On what surfaces will the vinyl art be able to stick?
All the decals will stick to most dry, clean, smooth surfaces; paint, glass, metal, wood, and so on. The wall stickers are guaranteed to remove cleanly. If your surface is smooth, non-greasy then our vinyl will most probably stick. Vinyl wall art will not stick to brick, stone, unfinished wood, or any rough textured surface.
Can I stick it on any type of paint?
As long as the surface is smooth, it will stick to acrylic and enamel paint.
How do I apply my Chalk Paint?
Chalk Paint is very easy to work with. It very rarely requires any preparation and can be used on just about any surface. Add a little water to make it smooth, thicken it up by leaving the lid off, make it into a wash by adding even more water. Use flat brushes for a smooth look or bristle brushes for a more textured aged look. Chalk Paint doesn’t require you to sand/prep your piece before you paint because it adheres nicely to most surfaces without sanding. However, it you want a smooth professional paint job, sanding between coats is advised.
After my order has been placed, how long does it take to deliver to me?
At Vinyl Art SA we will always try and get your products to you as soon as possible, but seeing that we produce the products on demand, we work on a production time of 7-10 working days. You can choose between using our trusted courier service or receive your products through the Post Office. The Post Office may take up to 7 days to get your product to your nearest Post Office.
How do I track my products?
If you chose the Post Office option, you can track your product on http://www.postoffice.co.za/tools/trackandtrace.html, you can also SMS the tracking number of the parcel to 35277 and will receive an SMS with the location of the parcel or phone your nearest Post Office. We will send you a tracking number as soon as the product is sent. Please note that the tracking system takes a while to update on the website.
If you chose the courier option, you will receive an email as soon as the product has been picked up at our location and you will be kept up to date as the process goes on.
Can I submit my own designs?
You are more than welcome to submit your own design, just send your high quality image to email@example.com and we will assist you in getting the product you want.
How does the order process work?
- Choose the product you want
- Select the colour and size you would like
- Press the ‘Add to Cart’ button
- If you want to add more products to your basket, click on ‘Continue Shopping’, otherwise select the ‘Go to Checkout’ button
- Select the quantity you would like
- If you have a voucher or a coupon code, enter it into the ‘Enter Coupon Code’ box and remember to click on the ‘Update’ button for the code to have effect. (Be sure that it shows ‘Coupon Applied’ after you clicked update)
- When you are happy and ready, click ‘Continue’
- Choose your shipping option and fill in your details and click ‘Purchase’
- You will be directed to the Payfast page and payments will be made through this secure and safe channel.
May I return my product?
If you are unhappy with your purchase you are more than welcome to return the product for a full refund as long as it is in the original packaging and condition and it is within 60 days of the purchase. Please contact us for assistance on this matter. You will be refunded through an EFT into your bank account. This is not applicable to gift vouchers.

We are proud to say that we manufacture and design all the products ourselves. No imports or buy ins.
